Vehicles are mechanical means of transportation invented by man. Vehicles are used to carry people and goods to faraway places in a short span of time. Vehicles are one of the most important reasons for the advancement of human race. It is really impossible to imagine a world without vehicles. They form an important part of the life of any human being living in this world.

The present scenario of the human society would have been different if vehicles were not invented. It made possible the transportation of man and goods to faraway places. During the ancient and medieval times humans used animals for transportation. Later, he made carts that can be drawn by animals that mad it easier for transportation.

Later as man advanced in the fields of science and technology he was successful in building vehicles that used mechanical energy. Discovery of petroleum products was an important step in building more quicker and fuel efficient vehicles. New vehicles with mechanical engines powered by petrol and diesel was made.. Later more research was done on this field and as a result the efficiency of these engines increased.

Aero plane is another very important invention of man. It helped to fulfill his long time ambition of flying on the air. Ships have an important role in changing the history of mankind. Ships made it possible for man to find new far away continents and made the trade between countries separated by sea possible. Even now ships are the major carrier of goods across countries.

Land Vehicles usually use roads. Trains are also an important method of transportation. The development and prosperity of a country can be seen analyzed with the quality of road and rail network in that country. It is important for any country to develop its road and rail infrastructure facility to have a better economy. This is the reason why any country in this world is giving so much thrust in the infrastructures of roads and rails so that the vehicles carrying goods can run faster and more efficiently thus it can increase the commerce in that country.
