DAMAGE

Our damage procedure is as follows. Once damage has been identified a quote is obtained from a body shop and your excess liability charge will then be enforced.

Please see the following list for an example of the common damage scenarios that you would be charged for:

• Damage to or loss of wheels, tyres, wheel trims, mirrors, aerials, radios and radio covers, badges, parcel shelves and similar detachable items
• Damage to the exterior of the vehicle howsoever caused
• Damage to the interior of the vehicle such as stains or burns
• Lost or damaged keys and all costs incurred as a result
• Any failure to maintain oil and fluid levels and tyre pressures in accordance with the vehicle manufacturers recommendations
• Damage to the vehicle caused by the use of the wrong fuel and all costs incurred as a result
• Call out and recovery costs following negligent use or care of vehicle

ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS

Credit/Debit Card - When paying by Credit/Debit Card your details will be held as a deposit for reserving the vehicle and as security whilst it is on hire.

Cash - If paying in cash a refundable £50 fuel deposit must be paid in full before the hire can start.

Cheque's - If paying by cheque a guarantee card covering the hire charge must be made available. We do not accept cheque's for deposits. You must pay the deposit by one of the other methods.

• Must be between ages 22 -75 (subject to vehicle) (Minibus drivers are subject to separate age restrictions)
• Must have a full UK drivers licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience (Most Non UK licences can be used with no extra charges but we must be advised of these cases in advance)
• Must advise us at the booking stage of any endorsements or any convictions on their drivers licence (If you have multiple convictions or have ever been disqualified please ask for more details)
• All drivers without exception must upon collection of vehicle produce their driver's licence (Both parts) & ID

YOUR VEHICLE

Upon arriving to collect your vehicle you should find it ready to rent, your vehicle will have been checked by a member of our team and should be cosmetically and mechanically in good condition, if however you do have any queries regarding the vehicle please alert a member of staff who will assist you.

VEHICLE INSPECTION

Before your hire begins you will be required to sign a pre-rental inspection form. The form will document any visible damage such as scratches/dents which may be present on the vehicle. As well as safeguarding you (the customer) against any unnecessary charges the form will hold you liable for any new damage incurred while the vehicle is under your care. For this reason, we stress that you check and note any damage which hasn't already been recorded before signing the form.

FUEL

Your rental vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and you will be expected to return it in the same manner. On occasions when a vehicle is returned without a full tank of fuel you will be charged at pump prices from your fuel deposit. We would advise all customers fill the car prior to return.

OUT OF HOURS RETURNS

All vehicles must be checked back in by a member of our staff. When vehicles are returned after hours or on weekends there might not be a member of our staff available until Monday morning to check it back in. Therefore all vehicles remain the sole responsibility of you the hirer until we have checked your vehicle back in whenever that may be. Vehicle must not be left at the rental branch unattended under any circumstances.

EUROPEAN HIRES

The majority of our hire vehicles can be taken abroad. Advance notice must be given as special insurance arrangements must be made. Under no circumstances must a vehicle be taken overseas without our approval. All vehicles traveling overseas must have suitable breakdown cover. AA 5* cover is available through the hire dept. Customers choosing to use their own cover must have the equivalent cover to AA 5*. Our standard breakdown cover only covers vehicles on the UK mainland. If vehicles are taken overseas without the correct cover it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to bare the entire breakdown and recovery costs should the vehicle breakdown.

ONE WAY HIRES

All one-way hires must be booked in advance. We can supply any size of car or van, subject to availability, from / to most UK destinations. (To get the latest prices and details for One Way Hires or to Book please get in touch with our hire dept)

BREAKDOWN PROCEDURE

All of our vehicles have full breakdown cover. If you are unfortunate and happen to breakdown please contact the rental branch on 01900 605391 (This is a 24 hour contact number). We will need to know as many details as possible like where you are, what the problem is, where are you going, is the vehicle fully loaded etc. To enable us to help overcome the problem in the best possible way for all parties involved.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Early Pick Up - Late Return Charge : £15.00

Additional Drivers - £3.00 per day

License Check Fee - £5.00
