If you are like me then you hate waste and love making money! I cannot stand to just throw things away in the rubbish, especially things that have some value, sentimental or otherwise. Ebay of course is a great way to make money from second hand goods that you no longer have use for. But I always thought that you could only really make money from goods that still actually worked. And things that did not work any more were simply fit for the trash heap.

Not so when it comes to scrap cars which relatively retain worth whatever their status as my current encounter has confirmed. Let me tell you a short account concerning my own small vintage car and how I earned 150 and got rid of annoyance at the same time.

I bought my car second-hand in 1999. I won't mention the make or model, but suffice it to say it was a well known executive motor. It was my absolute pride and joy, a car I had always wanted. I felt the bees knees whenever I drove it. That car really did serve me well for most of its lifespan, but like most things age wears them down and at some point things start to go wrong.

It was 18 months ago that it all started to fail for my car. To start off, problems with the electrical occurred. After that problems encountered with the engine and consequently complications one after another. It turned out not long before my reliable car turned out to be very unreliable. During winter months I merely didn't know whether it would start or remain stopped. The actual repair charges kept mounting up until the phase where it merely failed to justify restoring it any more. So I bought a new car.

I did not know what to execute with my old car and it stayed on my garage for months collecting corrosion. It was well past the stage of starting. It was eventually not anymore taxed or covered by insurance and quite frankly was turning into an eyesore, taking up space. Then an associate advised me how he previously hired a scrap car dealer to tow away his car right after it was engaged in an accident, and was in fact given a modest amount of money. I noticed this tough to believe and had anticipated that I would have to pay people to get rid of it for me when I ultimately got round with it.

Therefore, after exploring on the web I contacted a nearby scrap car dealer, arranged a value of 150 based on the scrap metal value, and thus had him pull it out for me. Issue resolved, headache gone, and 150 cash in my pocket. As you can observe I've been so pleased about this entire dealing that I have written pertaining to it!

If you have a car that has reached the end of its life, which no longer drives and you need to get rid of, then do not fret. Just search for your local scrap car dealers, get some quotes, agree a price and you are sorted! It is not often in life that you get paid to have a problem solved, it is usually the other way round. Thank god for scrap car dealers!
